Locking or "hidden" filters

All,

I'd like to apply filters to a page/report in order to affect the data displayed, but not allow Service users to change those filters. I'd rather not hide slicers behind a visual where they can't be accessed.

Is there a way to lock filters?

If you want to apply the filter to the report, I'd go for using roles. You can then still have different settings for diferent groups.

This won't work if you want to set different filters for different pages. Then I guess I would use the hidden visuals.

@RMDNA i guess your best option is to filter data in power query instead of using visual/page/report level filter. AFAIK there is no feature to lock filters in report, if you share visuals from report in dashboard, it is another option.

I still need the unfiltered data loaded into the report for my own use, I just don't want anyone else changing the filters I set.

I'll stick with hiding slicers behind visuals, since that works for now.

You can also add another layer alongwith putting slicer behind visuals, hide slicer using "selection pane"
