I am trying to make a report with live data. I load my data from SQL Server by using Direct Query. I made few charts and filters. All filters are working well, except the Date filter, everytime when I use it, it will kill all the charts as the pic shown below. Before, the Data Column is Text format and I changed it to Date format, by going into the Modeling tab and select the data column from the Fields pane, since this is live data i cannot do this in Edit Query. Can somebody help me with this problem? Thank you!

@sunjin122 this is a limitation for DirectQuery, since you are connected directly to the data source, you can't really alter the schema in a non-relational manner (text->date). One indication is this operation isn't allowed in the query editor due to folding. Changing the format can alter how the column is rendered in the report, but the semantics of cross filtering also changes, hence it didn't execute.
It's better if you keep this column in text format, or change the type in the data source.
