Live Query to Tabular Models only gives Counts

I'm noticing a strange issue with with models I have connecting to live. On certain visuals, such as the Card, I can only choose to display the data as Count or Count (distinct) i no longer have the options to show First or Last item in the column. If I use a table all the rows display fine.

When I import the data the functionality returns. Is this a limitation of using a live connector or is something in my model remiss?

@cgrisham,

I have tested it on my locla environment, I can get the same results as yours. Based on my research, this is the default setting for SSAS directquery model. I am afraid there is such a option to allow us to show first or last value in card visual in this mode. To work around this issue, you could change directquery to import mode.

Thank you for your understanding.

Appreciate the response back . Frustrating to here there isn't a way to change this behavior as importing is not always the most feasible. The other wrok arounds I've been using are adding measures to my Models that do this action, either using SELECTEDVALUE or FIRSTNONBLANK and LASTNONBLANK.
