Hi, I've read through several forums, but I did not find any thread specifically addressing this question. If it is out there and I missed it, apologies for the duplication.
I have a corporate account for Power BI Pro. Within this account I am part of a group in which I have access to couple of reports.
What I would like is to be able to access those reports from Power BI, with an active link, even if only one way from the online to the desktop version. Basically to explore the report on on-going basis from desktop and have it updated each time data changes.
Is there any solution for this?
Many thanks,
Albert
Hi @Albersim,
Currently power bi desktop can't link to the service reports. For your requirement, you can report this requirement to idea.
By the way, there is a preview feature to download the report. If your report is created and publish from desktop, you can download a copy from service and open this file at desktop. If the report is created at service side, you can't download it.

@Albersim There is nothing like that currently provided in the tool where you can use PBI as a datasource. There is a new feature that was talked about at PASS Summit to download the PBIX from the Service. But I would imagine that you would have to be the owner of the report, and not just a consumer. Groups would most likely work as long as you had admin privelages.
