Linked Tables, Visuals Cross-Filtering Help

Hi all,

I have two similar tables linked via a relationship.

One of the tables is used to generate a scatter plot with all data-points showing (i.e. y-values is set to not summarise).

The other table is very similar in data structure but is feeding a line chart which summarises by average. The data is repeat experimental measurements.

What I would really like to happen is when I click on an individual data-point(s) in the scatter chart, that the line chart only averages those which are selected. At the moment it effectively just filters by the legend field, which is pretty helpful but not quite my dream.

A .pbix file is here if it helps to understand the visuals and data structure a bit better.

Thanks

Update to say I think I cracked it.

My trick was to make a custom column in each table, which was a unique text concatenation of other columns. The tables were then linked by this custom column. So when I click on individual data-points in the scatter plot, only those respective points make it through to the averaging on the line chart.

Not sure if there is an easier / better way but it seems to work.

Updated (new link) file for anyone interested!
