Hey, I'm new to power BI and having difficulties showing a simple X Y chart. I linked a table from excel containing a table with a date (formatted as a date) and drawdown column (formatted as a number). Within the power query tab in Power BI the data format is decimal for this column. When adding a bar chart I have selected "Do not Calculate" however the chart still defaults to a summarization value. I am unable to turn this off. Is there a way to display data that does not have a calculation applied to it?
I would like this to display the Drawdown by Year.

Solved! Go to Solution.
The line chart will not allow you un-summarized measure.
But Have tried using date Hierarchy by not removing the Qtr, Month and Day. And view at the year level. And view at the year level and then drill down.

Not being able to do it was the answer I was looking for.
I ended up using a "minimum" for this solution. In continuing to explore the dashboarding over the weekend I have realized that the structure of DAX formulas are different than I would have calculated things in Excel. This will continue to be a learning experience.
Thanks for all the responses.
Not in a line chart like that. What would you do if you had two or more data points for the same line on a line chart. How are you going to display all of them if you do not aggregate? If you do not aggregate, what is the value of that line for that day?
Hi,
I am not clear about what you want. In a simple table, show the expected result. Also, share the link from where i can download your PBI file.
