Line data on a clustered bar line chart does not honor filters selected in other visuals

when i draw a bar and line chart

The bars are the values and the line is the target

the target go into the future so there are no data for the bars

but this causes the line not to be displayed for the future values

if i flick them round then the data is displayed, but this is not what i want

can anyone help?

Thank you @Anonymous, I was not able to find a solution for this topic, but I figured it out thanks to your help. I learnt something new!

@docjohn I tried it without the table for time dimension, here my example

in the red square like "shared axis", I put the "Date" column from the forecast table and in the hierarchy I used only the month.

Could you send us a screeshot of the model, because I don't see where the issue could be.

I tried to reproduce your use case. In my example, I've got 3 tables, One for the time dimension, one for the values and the other one for the target.

Here is the model 

My values goes from 01/01/2016 to 01/06/2016 and the target covers the full 2016 year.

When I use the combo chart, there is not problem to display the target for the year and the value for the half-year.
