Limit the amount of rows to load for development tests

Hi, is there a way to limit the rows loaded to a query? I have PRO licence.

I need to reduce the rows loaded in order to test my developments and I think that would be great if I can use parameters or script that make this possible

Thanks

Just choose Keep Rows up in the ribbon on one of your first steps and set it to 100,1000, etc. whatever will give you representative data to build with.

If this works for you, please mark it as the solution.  Kudos are appreciated too.  Please let me know if not.

Regards,

Pat

Just create a filter which uses Table.SelectRows() early in your query for development. Then, when ready to publish, remove the filter. I often name these steps "DELETE THIS BEFORE PUBLISHING".

DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can filter the data (using parameter or not) on the first steps of your query. If Folding Query is possible, it will be faster.

Thanks, how would you filter them?
