I have a table with data for 2020, and I have a slicer betwee date:
The problem that I have is that when I select open de calendar to select a date, although in the table I have only data from 01/01/2020 to 31/12/2020, I can select date before or after to 2020:
Is true that the trend only show data for 2020, but the slicer filter date can show data before and after 2020
Is it possible that in this case, the slicer filter date only show data for 2020? Thanks
@Anonymous , put a visual level filter. A measure from your fact table and use in not blank
refer, this for two tables should work for one table

Hi @amitchandak, thanks for your answer, in this case your solution insn´t work, I did this:
In a table with data for all year of 2020, in the slicer filter date I added this metric like a filter not blank:
But although I added this metric like a filter in the visual level of the slicer, I can continue selecting date out of 2020:
Do you think that is possible to do using other way or is a deffect of this kind of filter? or have I got a error?
Thanks
Hi @Anonymous
I think you must restrict your calendar date column to the dates that are effectivily in your model. Use this restricted calendar date column in your slicer.

Hi @FrankAT , thanks for your answer, but if I undertand you correctly, don´t work, I applied in the slicer date a new filter for the current year, however in the slicer I can select date before and after of 2020:
The trend only show data from 2020, but in the slicer I can continue selecting data out of 2020. Any other idea? Thanks
Hi @Anonymous
the following report works as you expect:

Hi @FrankAT , this is the way that Im using and don´t work like I hope, the trend only show information for 2020 but in the slicer date calendar you can select for example date for 2019, although then the report dont show information for 2019, Im finding the way that the slicer using the calendar, only show data for 2020, but I think that this is not possible, by default the calendar option show information for other yearr although the table doesn´t have information for other year.
