Level of Detail Lost

Hello Everyone

Wondering if you can assist with a visual and a calculation.

I have a production report at a granular level of detail showing:

  • Product Group Name (pgd_prod_grp_name)
  • Item Description (item_code_description)
  • Transaction Reference (stk_trans_ref1)
  • Tonnes Produced

In addition I have a table and chart showing summary of production by Product Group.

My issue is that the total of the summarized table does not agree to the detail table.

I realize it has something to do with the fact that the summary table does not contain the Item codes and transaction references, so I tried a SUMX calculation to tell the visual the level of detail it should use. The calculation I've made gives an error: "The column 'stock_dim[bi_stkdim_pack_weight]' either doesn't exist or doesn't have a relationship to any table available in the current context."

It is not clear to me why this error is shown because my data model has a relationship between all the tables (including stock_dim)

The report is saved to DropBox here:

Thanks in advance for the assistance

Hi @FerdinandP ,

I'm sorry that I can't open your link due to the access limitation.

I suggest that you can check whether the columns you use in two tables are from the same table.

Or you can try to upload your pbix file again in order that we can help you further more. You can reference the following link to upload your file. Thank you!
