Keep year label as user drills down not just with EXPAND ALL DOWN ONE LEVEL IN THE HIERARCHY

I have a line chart with date hierarchy on the x-axis. I want the user to be able to drill down and see the year with the quarter/month. It works but on if you use the double down 'EXPAND ALL DOWN ONE LEVEL IN THE HIERARCHY' button not the mouse or sigle arrow to drill down. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong.

There is an option to show multiple levels on the x-axis for some of the barcharts etc.

Turn "Concatenate Labels" off in the formatting properties of the X-Axis.  In this example, I have drilled down through three layers of the date hierarchy, and you can see how they are grouped on the x-axis labelset.
