Issues with SELECTED VALUE

hi,

I'm having issues trying to calculate a percentage sing the following measure :

Percentage Users = DIVIDE(SELECTEDVALUE('mytable'[Users],0), [TotalUsersMeasure])

My total users measure works fine and calculates correctly however I always get 0 returned by selected value. I presume this is because I have supplied the 0 default argument but my data very clearly has a single numeric value for users so why am I getting the default 0 value?

It may be an issue with a relationship or visual interactions. I have had some weird behavior with SELECTEDVALUE so sometimes I revert to just using MAX, which is what I did before SELECTEDVALUE existed.
