Issues when applying query changes

Hi, when applying query changes (data linked to Dynamics 365) my query get stucked after a while and not making any progress

after getting certain amount of data). I have tried with another quesry and the same result (altrough the new mightr get more or less data from my data source). There is no error message - but there is no progress either.

I didnt have this problem before, is this an issue with the new desktop app update?

Does anyone have the same issue?

Regards

Hi @HowlingWolf,

115MB data isn't be a big dataset to Power BI. Since there weren't any error messages, maybe there is a timeout occurred. How long did it run? I would also suggest you try https://community.dynamics.com/.

Hi @HowlingWolf,

1. Did you use the connector "Dynamics 365 (online)"?

2. How much data do you have?

3. Can you reduce the size and refresh again to troubleshoot?

It's good in my test.

Dale

Also, if the size is the issue it would eventually apply the changes, but the fact that it stops completely and not progressing is the real problem that i have.

Is there a limit on the query size?

Cheers

Thanks Dale, i will try running the query update from another station & check with dynamics 365 guys. Its a bit strange though as i have much larger queries running before.

Cheers

Hi Dale,

1. Did you use the connector "Dynamics 365 (online)"? - Yes

2. How much data do you have? - The innitial query was larger but it was stuck at 115mb the second one was reduced but it got stuck at 13.4 mb

3. Can you reduce the size and refresh again to troubleshoot? I have

The only thing i did different (last two queries) - i have edited the queries before applying.

Regards
