I am working on some Key Influencers for our metrics and need to see if there are any segments/influencers on metrics from 3 separate tables. When I add (unsummarized) metrics from 1 particular table, I get the message "This analysis is performed at the record level of the "Table D" table. A field in "Explain By" is not in the "Table D" table or a table from the same data source and related to it by a many-to-one relationship. Try summarizing it".
I need the data to be unsummarized and I do have relationships linking all these tables to a main table. All tables are linked by the same metric: Sample ID. I've attached a table showing the active relationships (the one between Table C and D is not active, Power BI won't let it be active, giving me the message "You can't create a direct active relationship between Table C and Table D because an active set of indirect relationships already exists between these tables". Any suggestions?
Hi @JohnGray ,
Create inactive relationship and use USERELATIONSHIP() in DAX formula when you want to active it.
