Issue with Text Filter | looking for a Search field solution

Hello !

I'm in desperate need of a Search box that filters a huge list of Products I have.
For a bit of context, I have a number of products in a visual table in my report ( See the picture attached - I made a quick sample for yall ), I found a nice but yet limited "Text Filter" in the downloadable visuals.

The limitation with this text filter is as follows : When searching for one value, the search filter works amazing. And... that's all.

I'm open to any solution ( With or without the use of this Text Filter, I got no emotional attachment to it ), that will help me  accomplish the following searches :

  • Products that contain "value1" and "value2" for example "Product1" AND "CF"
  • "value1" or "value2"

I'm available in case any further information is needed.

Thank you all !

Hi, @Vrykolakas

Due to the setting of this custom visual itself, there is no way to change it. But if you want to filter data with multiple conditions, you can try to use do it in filter pane.

Hello @v-janeyg-msft ,

thank you so much for taking the time to answer.

I'm aware of the filter pane, the issue here is that I need to include it ( as a search field - to the product names ) in my report, for others to use.

I'm still struggling to find a solution..

Hi, @Vrykolakas

There is indeed no qualified slicer to meet your needs. The filter pane can also be displayed in viewer mode and can be switched by itself, which is still very convenient.

Hello !
Thanks for getting back.
I spent a few days looking for a solution, and it seems that the "advanced filtering" in the filter pane, is the only way I have to achieve what's needed.
