Issue with Slicers and Filters - Changing how they look

Hi,

Yesterday i buildt a new report with 7 different pages, almost every pages have 1-2 slicers that i have set to Dropdown and filed in a default value, i then move on to a different page and start working on other parts of the report. when going back to a page i have previously completed i see that the slicers has changes back to "default" look (listview). i change it back to dropdown and save. this happens again and again.

i also have problems with filters i set on a table are removed.

Anyone else have this happen?

Im running on the 64bit November release.

The workspace you are working on, was it created on an older version of PowerBI?

Maybe it is worth creating a new workspace based on the latest version and create the objects there and see if the issue remains the same.

Hi themistoklis

I'm having this issue in the Power BI Desktop application and have not yet deployed the report to powerbi.com

Hi @Anonymous

It seems you may check 'sync slicers'. If it is not your case, please share more details or the .pbix file so that we could help further on it.

Hi.

I've found the reason for this issue. its because im using bookmarks to go from page to page in power bi desktop. all filters reset to default layout. could anyone else test this?

what i've done is created buttons "Left" and "Right" to go between the pages, and any slicer or Visual Level filter gets reset to default when i use the bookmark buttons to changes to a different page.

You can change this behaviour if you go to View --> Enable Sync Slicers

On the Sync Slicers you can define which slicers will be linked across the bookmarks and which wont.

You need to click on a slicer first and then you will see the option on the Sync Slicers Pane

Hi.

I've done that, and it does not change the behavior.

you can see below how it looks for me after jumping from page to page.

Look at the Year and Month Slicer before and After i've changed page
