Issue while trying to retrieve data from Sharepoint

Hi all ,

I am pulling some data from Sharepoint and it is working fine . However , I am getting the below error while trying to retrieve data from one specific table .

"The query cannot be completed because the number of lookup columns it contains exceeds the lookup column threshold enforced by administrator"

Any Idea how this can be resolved ?

Thanks in advance .

Hi ISFaouzi,

SharePoint has lookup column threshold of 12 for now. But please notice what is said here:

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/spses/2013/12/02/sharepoint-20102013-list-view-lookup-threshold-unc...

You would encounter this error if you get an item from a SharePoint list which has more than 12 lookup columns. With on-premises SharePoint, these throttles and limits can be changed on the Resource Throttling page in Central Administration. You can follow the steps in How to increase lookup column limit in SharePoint lists

If you are using SharePoint online, I suggest you use  odata feed connector as a workaround, please refer tohttps://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/40040.power-bi-two-way-to-get-data-from-...

Best Regards,

Sharepoint has a lookup threshold of 12 columns. There is no way to increase this limit in Sharepoint Online.
