Hi,
I have created a report to explain the issue I'm facing. You can download the report here.
When I try to display the following fields "Username, AccountName, ItemName" it displays a error "Can't display the data because Power BI can't determine the relationship between two or more fields"
Thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
With the relationships defined as they are there's no path for powerbi to get the ItemName.
If you want a simple way to make it work, delete the relationship between Items and Accounts then create a relationship between AccountBridge and Items (on Account ID)
The model is still a bit odd (it's relational but information is duplicated in different tables) but Powerbi copes with lots of different models.

@HotChilli , thanks for your reply. Which data is duplicated in the model? Any suggestion for change in the modelling?
Well, AccountID is in 3 tables, and the Items table is tagged on the end (with a 2-way relationship which is usually a bad sign)
The classic model is a fact table which can be filtered by various dimension tables. This makes querying simpler.
As I say, powerbi can cope with lots of different models. It all depends on what you want to report on.
