Hi all,
I'm trying to recreate a financial review spreadsheet that we generate for our clients on a quarterly basis. I'm wondering if PowerBI is the right place to try and do this, or should I be building this somewhere else? Assuming I have access to all the data to create the report, here is what I'm trying to accomplish:
We manually create a report that shows the forecasted vs actual dollars being spent across all service categories. The example below only shows one flavor of the report: We usually show all four quarters, but break out the current quarter into months.
Is trying to force Power BI to create a spreadsheet object like this kind of crazy, or should I just find a new way to visualize the data? What you see above is "old school" but I think many clients appreciate seeing this format.
Before I plow a bunch of time into this, LMK what you think!
Thanks as usual!

You can. You should google some of the financial reporting articles and videos in Power BI. Also, check out this custom visual just for financial reporting.

MCSA: BI ReportingOK - That works! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - Of course, as soon as I posted this I started googling and saw Enterprise DNA has loads of info on this as well. Looks like I'm in for some head scratching!
Thanks again, @edhans
