I've one cube that the only way to access is using an HTTP endpoint, aka data pump, during last years I've been creating excel reports without any problem, connecting the cube using the data pump and getting all the semantic model, all the relations, hierarchies to create my reports
I'm trying to replicate the excel reports using Power BI desktop, and if I use the HTTP endpoint as the SSAS server, pbi desktop only allows me to import the data to the pbix file, losing all the cube metadata, and forcing me to model again all the relations inside the pbix, Am I doing something wrong? if the only way is to import the data, how can I contract Microsoft to add the request to use the contect live with the HTTP endpoint to their pbi desktop backlog.
Many thanks, Luis
Hi @LuisQuedas,
I don't think it is possible to do it with Power BI currently. A similar ideas is already shared on Power BI Ideas. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI on this feature.
