Is there a way to create a lookup field for part numbers?

I am loading a rather large dataset where there are a variety of part numbers.  Is there a way to add a lookup field or even add this into a slicer where it would filter by that looked up part number to narrow down the list of parts displayed?  What I'm trying to do is allow the lookup to have the user enter in as many characters as is necessary to narrow the list to what they want, so they can select it to allow the visuals to change based on the selection.  There are so many parts that the list would seem endless to scroll through.

I'd like to try this...how do I install it?  it is a different file extension from the ones I'm seeing in power bi and does not seem to be an executable.

Hi Emma, theoretically you should be able to

1. download from the site https://app.powerbi.com/visuals/

2. in PBIX model, click on the elipses at the end of the visualisation icons on the visualisations pane in powerbi desktop (service too)

3. browse to the download location and load.

if thats not working for you then there might be some other problem with your install.

Hi, you could use the smartfilter custom vis by SQLBI

https://app.powerbi.com/visuals/

Is there anyway to have a hierarchy around part numbers that is used elsewhere? if so thats probably a goo dtable to have in your model.
