Hello friends,
We are converting from free power bi to power bi pro. Is there a checklist or roadmap for things to do/modify/change?
Things like RAM, processor, disk space etc….
What IT department needs to do/modify/change in order to make successful transition from free power bi to power bi pro?
We have approximately 10 business users who will be creating reports/dashboards and sharing with 500 end users.
IT will be creating data models with SSAS/SQL and business users will build reports/dashboards on top of data models.
Thanks in advance.
Have a great week
HI @bhavinpatel_23,
Pro license is for power bi service so there is no device changes for licensee update, it will direct add pro features to accounts who assigned pro license.
Quickstart: Assign Power BI Pro licenses in Office 365
For your scenario, I'd like to suggest you take a look at power bi premium license, it will more suitable for huge users tenant and embedded reports.

Hi @v-shex-msft
Thank you for your reply.
I found below yesterday. It looks like IT needs to include web part in sharepoint to share reports/dashboards securely. I am looking for more things like this to leverage Power BI pro effectively.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-embed-report-spo ( Embed with report web part in SharePoint Online)
Is there anything else IT department needs to do to leverage Power BI pro effectively?
Thanks again,
Any more thoughts or suggestions
Thank you,
