Is it secure enough to use it internally?

Hi Team,

We will be sharing reports and dashboards containing sensitive data. I raise the question because the URL for Power BI is not inside our company domain, even though company credentials are accepted. It is part of the list of Office365 services of our company .

Hi Ravi,

Here i wil give some idea to secure your data .

1. If u create a dashboard with your workspace . without you sharing the dashboard no one can access your Dashboard.

while sharing you can able to restrict the user reshare dashboard.

2. From your Office365 u can restrict the users to login in Power BI Services.

3. This is most important feature and my best suggestion too for Secure datas,

Create RLS and Restrict your Data (Row Level Security)

Hi @ravi_paradkar,

You can try to use below methods to improve the security.

1. Turn off the option which allow the recipient to share the shared dashboard.

2. Turn on the Row-Level-Security on your dashboard.

You can take a look at below link, to know more about RLS:

Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI

3. Publish to "My Workspace".(if you publish to group space, other users which in the group can see the published dashboard)

Thank You for the help.  As data is stored in Microsoft managed cloud storage. In that presepective is there any information security risk.?

For that u have to Check with MIcrosoft 🙂
