Is it possible to use an image file stored locally (or on our server) in a visualization?

*I am a PBI desktop newbie* but I've spent a few hours looking for the answer and trying various suggestions.  Seems that the ImgViewer custom visualization only works with urls that point to public web pages.  I can get it to display the correct ImageURL as text, not the actual image, although I have made the data type ImageURL.  I even added the folder containing the images as a data source, but that didn't seem to accomplish much.

Is this possible (without gymnastics in R or other workarounds) or not?

Well I discovered that urls on a Sharepoint site work!  So I can control who has access to my images and still use them in an ImgViewerVisual.  Now I just need to figure out how to visualise a series or grid of images...
