Is it possible to store data in pbix?

Hi,

So here's a specific question:

Let's say I load in data from a folder with multiple excel files. The data is stored in the DataModel in the PBIX file, right?

If I delete all the data in the folder, the PBIX file can still be opened.

If I add an entirely new excel file with the same format to the folder, is it possible to add this data to the pbix file and delete it after? So all the original data will be there PLUS the data of the new excel file.

This way you can have a folder 1 or less files but all the data keeps loading in and is stored in the pbix file.

Is it possible?

Unless you configure some incremental method, it will reload.
