Is it possible to save an embedded Power BI report in an application to our local machine

 Hi Team,

It would be very helpful of you if you could let me know if it is possible to save an embedded Power BI report in an application to our local machine or in any other way.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @Tejasvi_munge ,

There are two options:

1) You can add a code using JavaScript. Go to Power BI Embedded playground - https://microsoft.github.io/PowerBI-JavaScript/demo/v2-demo/index.html#. Then go to tab "Code" -> Interact -> Edit & Save -> SaveAs Report. And you will get a sample code.

2) Each embedded report is actually located in a workspace of specific Power BI Service account. So you can use Power BI REST API - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/reports/exportreportingroup. You can authenticate via Azure or you can get a temp token using WebBrowser/Fiddler tool if you have access to that PBI Service account.
