Is it possible to duplicate/copy a column as new column in live connection

Hi,

Background: My data source is Direct connection from Essbase , so I don't have flexibility to modify tables or add new data sources.

   I have a situation , where I need to have two slicers on page using same field from a table , I do this as I have two visuals on page to show data for differnt budget Scenarios. Example: One for Actual other for Budget . one slicer controles one visual (Say left ) and other controles second visual (Say Right). Now I have to calulate one measure whcih is % of difference bwteen two scenarios based on selection in each slicer. Can I use selectedvalue function for each slicer ? I thought I can't do that so  I am trying to see if I can add a measure to just duplicate Scenario field in table as Scenario2 so I can use it for second Slicer. 

I am not able to figureout how can I do this ( copy/duplicate column as another column in same table) when I have direct connection. I can't add Newcolumn as  that option is not available with direct connection.

Hi @venkatasuresh_g ,

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to duplicate column for Essbase database DirectQuery mode in Power BI currently. You can post your new idea in Idea Forum , add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.

@venkatasuresh_g , do you want to duplicate column have two slicer or two measures?

July release enabled data model view for live. Check if there some options to add. I have not tested it.
