Is it possible to display two separate visuals with one Fact table?

I am sharing my Pbix file here.

I am wondering if it is possible to display two visuals with one Fact table.

Two visuals reflect different visual outcome based on different date range.

On the bottom illustration, I have one Line chart visual and one Matrix visual.

Both visuals would reflect different results based on different date ranges.

Bottom is relationship of tables that I have now:

Two fact tables have exactly same data, and currently, each fact table uses a separate date table for two different date slicers.

Is it possible?

Thanks.

I appreciate for your help. This (Edit interactions) is fairly new functionality for me.

I am still trying to understand how it works from developer's and user's perspectives.

The requirement is that I would like to eliminate one Fact table out of two Fact tables.

Would it be possible (to delete one Fact table - "vw_census_trend" or "vw_census_trend1") - while keeping two visuals and two slicers?

Thanks!

Hi @JustinDoh1 ,

Sorry for late back, certainly you can delete one fact table with this method, directly change the columns from vw_census_trend1 to the same columns from vw_census_trend, then delete vw_census_trend1.

I do it in your sample and attach it for your reference.

Hi @JustinDoh1 ,

According to your description, I download your pbix. Here's my solution.

1. Turn on the Edit interactions button in the Format ribbon.

2. Select the first slicer, checked the None option in the second visual.

3. Select the second slicer, checked the None option in the first visual.

Then turn off the Edit interactions button, get the result.
