Hi -
We have the October 2017 version of Power BI desktop, which should include the DAX function SELECTEDVALUE(), however, it doesn't show up when entering the DAX, and any formula that tries to use it bombs saying it's not a valid fuction. We're connecting with live connection to older tabular cubes, release level 1103. Is that function available based on the version of Power BI desktop or on the release level of the tabular cube to which it's connected?
Thanks in advance!

Hmm, that is curious since I believe that function was in the July version of the Desktop. Are you using the RS version of the Desktop?
Also, it is not on the list of supported Direct Query functions:
So, even if it was there, you probably wouldn't be able to use it in your circumstance.

Hi, I wasn't even trying to publish it to the report server, I was just developing in the desktop:
Version: 2.51.4885.2501 64-bit (October, 2017)
If it's not available, it's not available...it's just disappointing to see all the cool things it could be used for in all the online blogs and examples and that it was first introduced in July, so I expected it would be accessible.
Thanks.
