Internal report access to Users outside the organisation

Hi Experts,

We have a group of Auditors who belong to our organisation formally but did not have Organisation email ID.

What would be the best way to share our internal Power BI reports with them.

Thanks

Hi @Shadaiv

For your first question , if the report is published in shared capacity , the users who access the report need Pro license. If the report is published in Premium capacity , free users can also access the report without any licenses .

For your second question , Power BI requires that you use a work or school email address . Users can apply for a Power BI account by themselves , then you can add these accounts to your tenant . There is also a simpler method. You go through the administrator of Microsoft 365 admin center to create new accounts in admin center =>Users , and then distribute these accounts to colleagues in your company who do not have accounts.

When a user is assigned an account and starts to explore the Power BI service, you may see a pop-up window asking if you want to upgrade to the personal trial version of the paid version of Power BI, select Try now, and the user can enjoy a 60 day trial of the paid version of Power BI .

Hi @sevenhills

Thanks For your reply.

Referreing to the shared article, i have few questions.

Do external user need Power BI Pro License?

Which login credentials External users should use? Do they need to create an account, would they be on a  60 days trial version?

Thanks

Related to license, I have failry minimum knowledge and don't want to give half baked info.

I saw someone else answered it. So, I hope that helps.
