Inserted images not showing in shared report

I inserted two small PNG images into the report in PowerBI Desktop. When I published the report, I could see the images. However, once I create a public link to view the report, the images don't show!! 

I used the simple Insert Image, am I doing that wrong? 

P.S: I have the latest version of desktop.

I was using Sharepoint images which showed up for some and not for others.

After a lot of research, these two solutions solved my problem:

1) Embed the images within your report (Base64)

2) For Sharepoint images: embed the Power BI report on a Sharepoint page

I have the same problem since yesterday. No images in png format are shown in my report published on the web. I also have the August 2018 version

Hi!  I just encountered an issue with not showing inserted images on published report.  The images are supposedly showing when a button with bookmark is clicked.  It is showing in Desktop but not in Power BI service.  Has anyone found a solution for this?  Thank you in advance!

Hi, for me has worked update the report again from Power Bi desktop.
Sometimes when I update some reports, the images not showings, but after other report upload from PBI desktop then image can be see.

I'm also having the same issue with images not showing up in the public link. 

It is odd because it is limited to just one of te public facing reports not all of them.

I'm also using the latest version of Desktop.

Make sure your inserting image via a link to source the consumers of your report can access rather than a file on your HDD

I have same problem.

Last week, the images showed perfect, but since last update of my report, the images no shows on public link and embed link.

We have other public reports withouts updates, this reports not have problems, the images shows perfect.

Can you help me?

I would poast this as a BUG on the Ideas forum vs this one (the desktop) I have found this is more closely monitored by the MS Dev Team. If you get a response or end up needing us to vote on the Idea please post back here as well.
