Index number in square brackets next to filename in Navigator

Hi,

When I do 'Get Data' > 'Excel' > select my file > Navigator, there is a number in square brackets next to my filename, indicating this is not the first file of this name that has been loaded. Is Power BI Desktop storing all of the old files loaded somewhere? I have cleared all the drafted queries but this doesn't seem to change. It's just a little annoying because every iteration, this number will keep changing. Is there a way to view/reset this counter? Thanks.

That is the number of queries or objects (sheets/tables) in that file (shown as a folder), not some sort of duplication like you see when you have New Folder, New Folder (1), or New Folder (2) on your PC.

It is the same type count you see in Power Query when you have your queries in a group.
