Incremental refresh of dimension table

Hello all, 

we have the issue, that we want to incremental refresh our big dimension table. So far so good, everything worked fine until we added a new column into the view from which our dimension table comes. 

We noticed, that our incremental refreshed table did not add the new columns. 

Does anyone have experience with incremental refresh and adding new columns to the table ? 

We don't want to load the table again in Desktop.
