Incremental Refresh

Hi all,

Using PBI Version: 2.82.5858.961 64-bit (June 2020)

I'm trying to setup Incremental Refresh as per this article:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-premium-incremental-refresh

I created the parameters: RangeStart, RangeEnd

However, when I try to set up the Custom Filter on the Date Column, I can only use dates, I cannot use the parameters as options for the filter values.

Any ideas?

thx

Hi , @UncleLewis

When configuring incremental refresh in directquery mode, you first need to create two "Date/Time" type parameters named "RangeStart", "RangeEnd".

From the screenshot you shared,it seem that you create custom filter  in model view rather that in the view of "Transform Data" .

In addition, make sure the type of  the  column need  to apply custom  filter  is "Date/time" rather than "Date".

If not ,please convert it.

Both RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters need to be declared as DateTime in the parameter settings.  They must also both appear as part of conditions in the transforms of the data source that you want to switch to incremental.
