Hi all,
I've read all of the documentaiton on configuring incremental refresh for my import model (Azure SQL source).
How do we set this up if our table has no date/time column?
The database does have a 'Last Process Date/Time' column for many tables, but in some cases, this is always the current day if that table is set to a full reload on the data warehouse side. Also, the documentation says not use the same field for the refresh parameter range and the 'Detect Changes', but if I only have the 'Last Proess Date/Time' column in my table, what should I do in this situation?
Thanks!
Hi @Anonymous ,
If there is a DateKey field, you can try the method in this blog to configure incremental refresh.
Best Regards
Rena
Hi @Anonymous ,
the incremental refresh is intended for fact tables.
These fact tables should usually have a date column.
Otherwise you cannot apply the incremental refresh.
