Inactive relationships : How to get the ManagerSK?

I have the following schema :

 Capture - Copy.PNG

I am hiding the FactEmployee in my model and have two relationships as you see :

  • Active : EmployeeSK(FactEmployee) - EmployeeSK(DimEmployee)
  • Inactive : ManagerSK(FactEmployee) - EmployeeSK(DimEmployee)

I would like to get the ManagerSK in my report but my FactEmployee will be hidden.

Also, can you provide more inforamtion, like do you just want to use the ManagerSK column in slicer or you want to create some measure using the inactive relationship?

Have you explored the USERELATIONSHIP Dax function  or TREATAS ?

Thanks,

Nishanth.

would you be able to share the report to understand the issue further. Or a sample of the data with expected result.
