Import Data from an Excel sheet contained in a web page

Hi All,

I have a sharepoint page which contains an excel file.  I am trying to see if there is a way to just use the web page link to access the excel file in Power Bi Desktop.

So, I use dthe Web Data Source and pasted my sharepoint page URL. Instead of getting the excel content, I got the schema of the page instead of the excel content. Something like this:

excel access.PNG

Is there a way to import the excel content using the page URL?

Hi @kaka,

In your scenario, as the Excel file stored in the SharePoint site, you can use SharePoint Folder data source in desktop to get data from the Excel.

Then in Query Editor, you can filter to keep the specific Excel file and extract it's content. See: Combine binaries in Power BI Desktop.
