Identifying New Hires with a calculated column

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a HR dataset and i'd like to create a calculated column to identify new starters in the same month, so i can calculate New Hires this year and New Hires SPLY.

I found a .pbix file online. In this file new starters highlighted with '1' and that's exactly what i need. They used the following dax for this calculation.

isNewHire = IF(YEAR([date]) = YEAR ([HIREDATE]) && MONTH([DATE]) = MONTH ([HIREDATE]),1)

I can't do this with with my .pbix  and i need help with this.

Thank you all for in advance!

@Egemeny ,

Could you share more details about left (Still in business >6) and (Left the Business <6)? If possible, could you also share the expected result?
