Hi,
The new Icon Map from Altius looks really impressive. The demo was great and just downloaded it. I was wondering if i could get some tutorial along with some sample data that comes with it. Is it possible?
Thanks,
Sami
Thank you so much for your reply and waiting for icon map supporting report page tooltip.
Fabulous!
Looking forward to the update!
cheers!

Hey James,
Thanks for the file. Well it appears in my case the solution is not working 😞
I am trying to design a network diagram in a street level for Dhaka Bangladesh, When i am plotting the map, it is not functioning as it should have. all i am receiving is a streight line without the twist and turns of the road [Dotted line in the box, where as it should have been something like the red solid line].
My Table is given bellow:

Any advice? Desperately looking for a solution
Thanks,

Hi
I've managed to reproduce your problem. I think it's because you're using "customer" to group your data. It will be taking the average long and lats for all 7 rows as the customer field is the same.
Use SI instead of Customer and you'll get the result you expect.
Awesome.. This solved the issue, but when i am incorporated it with my real data nothing is showing 😞 Am i Missing anything?

You need to make sure that you have a value in the size field - at the moment it can't draw lines without an icon or circle. That would be my guess. I've used the data you've provided and can render a map...
Hi @jamesdales
Thank you for this excellent file. However when I use my data, the map shows nothing, no icon, no route, just nothing. I don't know why.
Could you help me find this out? Thank you.
Hi @ArchieGu
I think it will be because the datatype of your IconSize field needs changing to be a number. If you do that, then change the aggregation type to Average, it should show.
Thanks
James
I'd suggest checking to make sure there are no null lat and long values anywhere in the meantime.
Hi @jamesdales ,
If possible, could you please share the csv/excel file for flight data which you have used in your .pbix file. The pbix file which you have shared has only few records. Thank you!
Best Regards,
Bhavik
Anyone seeing an issue where it works when the lines are straight but if you change to geodesic they dont show?
Hi @Anonymous
I believe this is a bug. I should have a fix out for it shortly.
Thanks
James
@jamesdales I have value in the size fields, but still nothing is showing!! I hope you can look into it 🙂
@samihuq are you able to share your report with me, so I can look into this for you?
