IF, this is filtered, then want what it is filtered to show on card, otherwise, say this

I have a slicer with brands (from a table)
and a card next to it. If nothing is selected, I want the card to say

"Select Brand to view Property Rank and Closing Associate by Brand"

I tried iscrossfiltered and isfiltered and if I select a brand, the brand shows up, if I don't I get an error. So the first part works but I can't get the otherwise (what I want to say to work). 
It says "can't display the visual"
but details of error are this:

Title = If(ISFILTERED(VW_D365Hotels[Brand]), values(VW_D365Hotels[Brand]),

"Select Brand to view Property Rank and Closing Associate by Brand")

Try this, as long as the intent is to not make multiple selections it should work...

COUNTROWS ( VALUES ( 'Table'[Brand] ) ) = 1,
SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Table'[Brand] ),
"Select Brand to view Property Rank and Closing Associate by Brand"
)
