I want a measure to be in a slicer

Hi All,

I have a measure value that contains with the Wt. Avg like - 1, 2.2, 3, .......1000 values

Now, my end user wanted to select in the slicer with any of the above value and dashboard should filter accordingly.

Can anyone help me how to acheive this. I know measure cannot be put into slicer.

Thanks,

Akhil.

Hi @Akhil_1411 ,

Will you consider using filter to replace the slicer just like below screen shot?

measure as slicer.JPG

Hi @v-yiruan-msft ,

Thanks for your reply, but i want that to be on the dashboard not on the filter section.😑

You can create a What If parameter and then use the SELECTEDVALUE() from it in a new measure that returns blank when your original measure does not meet the criteria.

NewMeasure = var __wtavg = [OriginalMeasure]

Return IF(__wtavg<SELECTEDVALUE(Slicer[SlicerValue]), BLANK(), __wtavg)

If this works for you, please mark it as the solution.  Kudos are appreciated too.  Please let me know if not.

Regards,

Pat

Hi @mahoneypat ,

Thanks for your reply. But, the logic which u have suggested it just act as a measure.

But, in my dashboard i do have lot of different measures and dimensions as well. If i select any value in that(referring to values) the dashboard should be filtered accordingly.

Thanks,

Akhil.
