I'm still stuck on the Dec 2019 downloaded installer version

I'm told this is a known issue, but since February, I have been stuck using the Dec 19 version of Desktop, Each month I unintall and install the latest version from the store, and each time I get...

And each month I have to go back to Dec-19, but I'm missing out of features I need.

I was able to install the May download installer and it worked. I don't know if this a long term solution or just a fix for this month. We will find out next month...

Some users encounter the issue due to the broken files. You could open the recovered folder to filter out the recently backup files to have a try.

File > Options and settings > Options
