I cannot login to PowerBI Desktop

We have a VSTS account. 

I can log in to PowerBI web just fine (https://app.powerbi.com) and connect to the data in VSTS  just fine, viewing reports of Scrum Sprint Status and bug reports.

But I am unable to login to my service using OData from PowerBI Desktop.  Here is a summary of my experience:

Me> Start PowerBI desktop

Me> Sign into work or school account

PowerBI Desktop> Successfully sign in

Me> Get Data, Other, OData Feed. URL=

https://AAAAAA.visualstudio.com/DefaultCollection/_odata

where AAAAAA is the account.

PowerBI Desktop> Dialog asking me how to access. Offers many options: Anonymous, windows, Basic, Web API, Marketplace Key, organizational account..

Me> I choose Organizational account., click "Sign In" button

System redirect to https://login.microsoftonline.com/blah blah balh

Me> enter work email and tab

System> redirect to chose of Work or Personal account

Me> I click on "Work or School Account"

System> Redirect to https://federation.DDDDDD.org/adfs/ls/

where DDDDDD is where our domain goes. I obfuscated it for safety.

System shows an error:

First, I found some options in PowerBI desktop where you can clear your existing connections and associated credentials. 

Then I created a Personal Access Token for the VSTS account I wanted to acccess. Then I used the token (a string of random characters) as the password in a basic authentication when connecting via OData. That worked

Did you get any feedback on this?  I am having the same issue trying to pull data through ODATA for SharePoint lists 😞
