Hyperlink in tooltip box

Hi there

I want to push data to an external webpage, depending on the selection by the user.

My approach so far: I created hyperlinks and placed them in the tooltip box that appears when hovering about an element in the visual (see picture below). Problem is: the toolbox disappears when moving the mouse...

Any help on how to

1. create clickable hyperlinks that are tied to elements in a visual or

2. push data via hyperlink / any other link to an external data base when clicking on elements in a visual

is very much appreciated!

Thank you very much in advance,

Best

Max

I would display that information in a table visual. When you click on the bar, the table visual should filter down to the correct information and then you could just click the URL link.

Hi Max,

There are already many answers to your first question. I'm afraid the second one is impossible if I understood your question correctly. Push the data in Power BI to an external database? That isn't a job Power BI focuses on. Maybe you can create an idea here.

Hi Max

Another workaround would be to "See Data" of the visual. If you select "Data / Drill" in the Ribbon, "See Data" you'll get your data of the visual. Afterwards you can click on the hyperlink.

@maxsss,

Unfortunately you cannot achive this in chart Visual, for now you might need to swithc to different visual that will retain the Value of the hyperlink and which is clickable like @Greg_Deckler suggested. table Visual.
