Hi @Jpalji ,

You may not work individually in the desktops and get changes into one file at the same time.

If you must do some works in Power BI Desktop, as a workaround, the first team can finish parts of changing works in Power BI Desktop, then publish to Power BI Service, the second team using the same account can download the pbix file, and finish the remain works.

Best Regards,

Amy

Hi @Jpalji ,

You can publish the pbix file from Power BI Desktop to Power BI Service. For the on premise data source, you may need to install and configure gateway, see more: On-premises data gateway . And you can also configure refresh for the dataset, see more: Manage data sources, Merge or append on-premises and cloud data sources ,Configure scheduled refresh. Then you can allow the users in a team to create and change the published content with the same Power BI Service account, don’t forget to save it after changing.

Amy

Hi @v-xicai,

Thanks for the reply, we are a team of two working from different places on Power BI desktop report and building the same report page, is there any way we can work individually on our desktops and get changes into one file after development?

Just like we merge changes made to code by different members in a team by using DevOps/TFS.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @v-xicai

Hi @Jpalji ,

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI currently. You can post your new idea in Idea Forum , to improve the Power BI.

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Best Regards,

Amy
