How to test my DAX measures ?

I am creating different DAX measures based on the data coming from a an SSAS tabular model.

The data pushed into the SSAS tabular model is coming from  Hive and Oracle databases.

To validate each measure, should I build the hive or PL-SQL queries to make sure that my DAX measures are giving me the correct result ?

whatever your source is i would write the measures / aggregations against your source  or if you have a report somewhere that already uses those measures you can use that too, as long as you know its been validated.

I don't have any related reports/measures / aggregations against my sources, I am currently using the Oracle PL-SQL queries to validate the measures results.

that should be fine then as long as you know the correct way to test,  is there anything else you are concerned about?
