Hi,
I'm very new to Power BI and I've tried uploading some subject grades (we use a fine grading system with '+' and '-' grades) but Power BI is changing these values to a negative number instead e.g -6 instead of 6-.
How do I change the grades back to the format they are originally in on my Excel spreadsheet?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi @Anonymous ,
Open Query Editor and remove the 'Changed Type' step.

Thank you for your response. I have tried the manual formatting but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have columns with grade combinations in the format of whole number and numbers followed by "-" or "+" e.g 6, 2+, 8-.
I have tried adding the custom format #;#"+";#"-" which removes the problem with the minus sign appearing before the number instead of after but now I only have grades in the format of a whole number or number followed by "+" and no grades showing with a "-" but there are some in my original data.
Apologies if this is something simple to fix.
Thanks
@Anonymous , Try like -#,### . see if that can help
@Anonymous , check the datatype and number format in power bi, is it correct?
or Try manual formatting using - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-custom-format-strings
