Hi all,
Hoping there might be an easy and simple solution to my issue
I'm trying to create a line graph which shows multiple total price values across two different years. My axis has been set as the 'months' with the data starting from APR-2017 to OCT-2018. However, when looking at the graph it seems to be counting, for example, APR-2017 and APR-2018 as one entire value and not as two seperate value points.
The APR-2017 value should show as:
808,612,145.31 |
and APR-2018 value
207,275,319.21 |
Is there a way I can get Power BI to recognise the dates as individual months/years and to not combine them into one total value.

Hi Sam,
That's initially how I had it set out in the begining but using just the one field for the 'date' led to both april months being counted as one period.
I've found a solution, I've had to seperate the years and the months into two different fields in order for both months to be counted seperately.
Thank you for your help though!
Kind regards,
Pav
@Anonymous,
You may drag Date column to Axis field, and select Date Hierarchy.
