How to show top 10 cities with highest Sales?

Hi,

I have created a Dropdown filter on [Country] field and want to show top 10 cities in a bar chart. So I have created the a measure like below:

Top 10 Cities with highest profit = RANKX (ALL(Orders[City]),  CALCULATE(SUM(Orders [Profit])))

and city name should be shown at X axis and Profit will be at Y axis.

So any concept how to create this visualization? please help me.

Hi,

First of all can you share me the mesare calculation with me?

My Fields are: [City], [Profit]

and also I have followed your instruction and have got the below chart:Barchart.PNG

But I want to arrange the city name like: City with Highest profit will show first and at last we can see the city name with lowest profit. So how can I achieve that?

  1. Create a bar chart
  2. Drop the City name in the Axis
  3. Drop the profit in the value
  4. Drop your rank measure in the Visual Level Filters area
  5. Expand the visual level filter area for your city rank measure, then show it as less than or equal to, and type 10 in the box. Apply filter.

Hi @Anonymous

On your graph that you have attached, click on the 3 dots elipsis in the right top corner of the chart and select the order by Profit high to low.

Let me know how you get on.
