How to show the first of each month in date format

Hi all

I have a calendar date table that contains the dates between 1/1/2017 and 12/1/2020

On another table I have data that contains values for the first of each month only.

When I create a table I am getting the values for every single day, and when I switch it to date hierarchy i get just the month and year.

I would like to keep the date format with the data just for the first of each month. Something like this:

date1.PNG

Currently I get this:

date2.PNG

Hierarchy mode:

date3.PNG

How can I get it right?

Thanks!

The solution @parry2k  it's perfect.

Use a new column

Start of Month = EOMONTH( 'date'[date], -1) +1

Thanks.

@o59393 it depends how your tables are connected and what is in measure. Seems like you are seeing each date because one of it is not correct. Can you share relationship diagram and measure expressions?

Hi @parry2k

Please look at the table safety validation as an example.

Thanks.
